Sometimes I buy something with no idea how I’m going to wear it. All I know is, I love it and will figure out a way to incorporate it into my wardrobe.
Like this tribal necklace. (Forever 21, sold out online.)
So I turn to the internets for inspiration.

The easiest way to go is with a simple tee-shirt à la Leighton Meester. Check. Did this. But of course, I need options!
Make it bold. I love how Olivia Palermo paired her colorful necklace with a chartreuse and gold top and bright lips. And can we talk about how AMAZING that necklace is? Wow. Not only is a necklace like this a beautiful statement piece, but it’s also great for covering up a low-cut top.
Earlier this week, I made pizza for dinner and had a couple of requests for the recipe. This is a quick and easy meal to make so I thought, “Why not post it on the blog?” Everyone appreciates a simple but tasty recipe, right? I actually got the idea for this from a local brick oven pizza restaurant. It’s my favorite pizza of theirs and I thought it was simple enough that I could make it home. I tried it out and It’s pretty darn close. The best part is being able to heap on the toppings!
I don’t have any pictures other than the one I Instagrammed, so here it is! Look at all that cheesy, drizzly goodness!
I love fresh basil and mozzarella and that's what gives this easy to make pizza such flavor! Prep and cook time takes about 20-25 minutes so you'll have food on the table in no time. My husband is a slab of meat-eater, so if something like this pleases his palette, you know it's good!
Prepared pizza crust (like Boboli)
6 strips of turkey bacon*, fry in pan and cut into 1/4 to 1/2 inch pieces
8 oz fresh mozzarella, sliced to about 1/4 in thickness or less
7 – 8 fresh basil leaves, sliced into strips
2 Roma tomatoes, sliced
1/2 cup pasta sauce of your choice
Extra Virgin Olive Oil
What to do:
Heat oven according to pizza crust instructions. Brush olive oil on the pizza crust then spread pasta sauce on the crust. Top with mozzarella first, then add turkey bacon, basil and tomatoes. I also drizzle more olive oil on top, but that’s just me. 🙂
Put on a baking pan or pizza pan and place in oven for 10 minutes or until top of pizza is bubbly.
That’s all there is to it! It’s so easy but it tastes SO good.
*You can also substitute the turkey bacon with chicken breast strips, shrimp, prosciutto – depending in what you feel like having or have on hand.
Colored jeans are being seen from bright and bold to soft and pastel, on celebrities and bloggers alike. Myself included! Once I bought my first pair, I understood why. These pieces have the versatility and comfort of a pair of dependable blue jeans, but look so much more fun and trendy.
You can pair them like Kim Kardashian did – with a basic white tee and black leather jacket (or blazer for work). Try Sarah Jessica Parker’s weekend casual look by pairing with a colored loose tee and black flats. Cameron Diaz’s pastel jeans are on my wish list. I love how she kept the top neutral and soft with a loose top and tan blazer.
Here’s the pair I have and how I’ve worn them:

I’m loving the new Revlon products, the Lip Butters and the Colorstay Nail Polish, so I want to give some away!
This giveaway includes one Revlon Lip Butter in Raspberry Pie (a beautiful bright fuchsia color – see it on me here) and Revlon Colorstay nail polish in Sequin, Indigo Night and Marmalade as pictured. Sequin is a silver foil that looks like it might be a dupe for Zoya Trixie which I have and love. This new formula is suppose to have a gel like shine that will last up to 11 days without chipping. Mine didn’t last quite that long when I wore it, but I also didn’t use the basecoat and topcoat that Revlon recommends. However, it did last for three days with no chipping – far longer than others I’ve tried. For those of you with time and creativity, all three of these would make a great mani together!
Get ready for spring (or wear them now, I wouldn’t blame you) with this giveaway!

Some of my favorite drug store brands are on sale at CVS starting this Sunday! I love stopping by here for my products because of their Extra Care Bucks (ECBs as the pros call it) program. You can also join their Beauty Club which gives you $5 back for every $50 you spend.
