How I Wear: Maxi skirt

Hiiiiii! So an update if you don’t follow me on Facebook! Two weekends ago, my camera (a Sony a33) flashed a “Camera Error” message when turned on and then wouldn’t turn on at all. We’re not sure what happened and my husband tried to fix it, but with no success! I’m hoping my brother is going to be able to help me fix it, but I’m not feeling to hopeful. What am I going to do? I’ve tried to go the iPhone photo route, but the problem with that is that I can’t take the pictures myself. Trying to coordinate a photographer and the perfect lighting for cell phone pictures is hard!

So I’m back quickly with a few pictures from my phone/Instagram! I’ll post as I can for now. In the meantime, follow me on Instagram or twitter @mydressyways for photo updates!

I wore this outfit to work the day we went to watch The Lion King on broadway. I waited a LONG time to see the show. My kids have seen the movie so many times they have it memorized so I knew when it came to town that we all had to go.

The show was nothing short of amazing. The costumes were beyond belief and the performances were stellar. My son was on the edge of his seat with excitement. My eyes darted back and forth between the stage and my kids to see the awe on their faces at seeing their favorite movie brought to life. It was an amazing experience and one that won’t be forgotten by my kids!

  1. I’m sorry to hear that. I remember you just being excited about getting the camera settings just to what you’d like. I hope your brother can get it all fixed up for you. Cute pictures and such a pretty family 🙂

    • Believe it or not with all my respect to “Nadine Labaki” She ripps off most of her moives.I’m in the movie industry and I know, her moives are more of video clips then moives!I think she has absolutely no talent however she knows how to manipulate to get what she wants so kudos for that!I don’t know why she always takes the prostitute role in her moives..Maybe thats something inside of her pushing her to it lol

  2. Lion King is awesome! Tho I haven’t seen it – what I have heard was enough! I hope to see it one day in NY 🙂 Your pictures of your family are so cute! Love the top you were wearing!

  3. Aww you have such a beautiful family! I’ve never seen the Lion King on Broadway before, but I definitely plan on seeing it one day. I loved the cartoon as a kid 🙂 I love your black and white ensemble!

  4. Sorry to hear about your camera issues, that stinks! You have a beautiful family, love these photos. I really like the pic of you in that gorgeous necklace too :).

  5. I hope you were able to get your camera fixed!

I have been waiting for the Lion King to come around to where I live. I would ❤ to see it too! That must've been such a treat for the kids –they are adorable BTW!

Also, you look beautiful in your maxi skirt and top!

    • It’s an amazing production! Definitely worth it! I was a little worried about how they’d handle such a long show but they loved it so much that it wasn’t a problem at all!
