How I Wear: Sheer pastel

mint green blouse, sheer blouse, cobalt skirt

Wearing:

|Blouse| east5th from JCP (no longer available online, but check your local store – it was only $18) I love the drape of this blouse. It’s sheer without being OVERLY sheer, perfect for the office. And what about this pencil skirt I saw yesterday? I love the graphic print and bold colors! I’m thinking JCP might have to become a regular stop on my mall rounds now.
|Skirt| Ann Taylor ponte knit skirt (Similar, Forever 21)
|Shoes| Anne Michelle from Rugged Wearhouse
|Necklace| J. Crew bubble necklace from ebay
|Belt| Forever 21

I’m very wary of sheer things in the office. I have the perfect nude toned cami that I wear A LOT and am definitely wearing it under this blouse. This blouse also isn’t too sheer which is perfect. It is also really soft and drapey. Love it.

When wearing head to toe color, keep shoes neutral.

Waking up to a world bathed in temps of 63 degrees puts me in a good mood instantly. It didn’t matter that the sky was still dark and overcast; I heard promises of mid 70 temperatures. So I tossed out any outfit ideas that included boots, tights and sweaters. Instead of getting too ‘spring’ with my mint green blouse, I decided to wear it with my cobalt skirt and bubble necklace instead. I almost opted for my cream colored pencil skirt but wanted more of a bold look. (TRUTH: I needed the extra stretch this cobalt skirt offers.) And I went bare legged and open toed, come on already spring!

  1. Yay – we can be twins now! This color looks AMAZING on you (even better on your skintone than mine!) and I love the idea of pairing it will the bright blue…will have to try this with my cobalt trousers! πŸ™‚

  2. I am slightly obsessed with this outfit on you!! The color combo is perfection and the accessories and shoes are perfect. That blouse is gorgeous! I’m going to keep my fingers crossed that my store has it!
